Walking With Ava FAQs
On April 7th, 2023, Ava Costa, a 14-year-old gymnast on the Australian National Team, sustained a serious spinal injury during training that left her with no movement below her point of injury, despite emergency surgery. Ava has been a dedicated gymnast since the age of 5 and was training for the 2024 Olympics, and her mental and physical strength has made her a role model to many young aspiring gymnasts at the elite level of sports. What is the Walking With Ava Leotard?
In collaboration and support of Ava and her family, we are proud to announce the limited edition, Walking With Ava Leotard. Together with Ava, our team created this leotard to incorporate her favourite colours and design elements. By purchasing this made-to-order leotard, you can help us help Ava and support her journey to recovery.
How much of the proceeds are going to Ava and The Costa Family?
For each garment sold, we will be donating the profits to the Walking With Ava Foundation to support Ava's journey to recovery. A small portion of the garment price will be used by Sylvia P to assist with production costs to ensure that this donation is possible. With the uncertainty of the number of garments that will be sold, we are doing everything possible to support the Costa family and ensure that as much money as possible goes directly to Ava and her family.
When can I order?
Orders are live from Thursday 04th May, 4PM PST and close Sunday 14th May 11:59PM PST. Following this, products will be removed from the Sylvia P website and no longer be available to order.
When will you ship my order?
We are making your leotards to order, therefore products will be shipped in late June. Due to the unknown quantity of the Walking With Ava Leotard that will be required to be made on top of our current production schedule, production timeframes may take longer than expected and delivery times will vary. Orders will be prioritised in the order that they were placed.
I’ve also ordered an in-stock garment outside the Walking With Ava Leotard, will this be shipped before my Walking With Ava Leotard is ready?
Sorry, but no it won’t. For ease of logistics, we’ll ship all these items together i.e the in-stock garments will be shipped with the Walking With Ava Leotard on the estimated shipping date above.
I’ve received the garment, but I’d like to return it—can I?
The Walking With Ava Leotards are made to order, so these can’t be returned or exchanged for a different size. Please review our sizing guide prior to ordering. Please review our return policy here.
